A MESSAGE FROM THE RACE DIRECTOR

Congratulations on being part of the 1st running of the Oakland Running Festival. We are thrilled that you chose to join us for this inaugural event. It is our hope that years from now when this event is a mainstay on everyone's spring racing calendar, you will be able to say, "I was one of the first runners at that event." As the name suggests, there were several events included in the weekend giving it a mass appeal to runners of all levels.

This is the first time Corrigan Sports Enterprises has brought its Running Festival concept to the west coast. We pride ourselves in creating a fun and friendly atmosphere that appeals to a broad spectrum of runners and have built a reputation of listening to our participants. We pledge to continue to do so as we grow in Oakland. Oakland is a great running town with a ton of potential. It is our plan to continue to grow the event-- in both size and excitement. The support and excitement we have received from the running community and the City of Oakland was tremendous and makes us look forward to building a great history here.

We are already looking forward to the 2nd Annual Oakland Running Festival to be held March 26 & 27, 2011.
