A MESSAGE FROM THE RACE DIRECTOR

Congratulations on being a part of the 8th Annual CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Frederick Running Festival. We are thrilled that you chose to join us for this event. We hope that you enjoyed the event and that it becomes a mainstay on your Spring racing calendar, if it hasn't already.

This year, a record number of runners registered for the event and we once again sold out the half-marathon. Our annual event in Frederick seems to be one of Mother Nature's favorites as a year after battling the rain for most of the race, many of you finished the course encountering some hotter than normal conditions. Here's hoping that next year's weather returns to normal.

All-in-all, it was a fantastic day and we even had a record set by Molly Elizabeth Pritz in the half-marathon.

We look forward to seeing you at the 9th Annual CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Frederick Running Festival in May 2011.
